SOUTH HAVEN, MI -- The family of an Illinois man who drowned in 2009 while saving family members from rough waters at South Beach will receive $400,000 as part of a settlement reached with the city of South Haven. The lawsuit was filed in 2011 by attorneys for the estate and wife of Martin Jordan.
