Democratic votes likely key to more road funding

Observers say Gov. Rick Snyder's call last week for the Legislature to devise a plan to increase road funding by $1.2 billion annually offers the best chance in many years of addressing the state's deteriorating roads and transportation funding reform that has languished for decades.
