Former CEO of Battle Creek Community Actions Seeks Fees, Back Pay

A judge will decide whether the fired CEO of a Battle Creek social services agency is entitled to compensation. Nancy Macfarlane, fired June 20, 2013, is seeking attorney fees and back pay after a judge ruled earlier this year the board of Community Action violated the state's Open Meetings Act when it met to consider terminating Macfarlane's employment.
