Governor Snyder Says "Pay for Performance" Will Bring Accountability to Child Welfare System
The Governor says the state should reward agencies, public or private that produce the best outcomes for children
A shift in Michigan's child welfare system toward pay-for-performance is not a reflection of "great hard-working people" serving children in state care and their families, Gov. Rick Snyder said today. Rather it's about making sure that those that do the best work are properly rewarded. That, in turn, better serves families and children, he said.
