Initial Review Shows Conyers Qualified for Primary Ballot

Washington U.S. Rep. John Conyers, the Detroit civil rights icon, has little room for error if he is to survive a challenge and make the August ballot for a possible 26th term in office. The official review of his petition signatures by the Wayne County Clerks Office found 1,193 of the 2,000 signatures he submitted are from valid registered voters in the 13th Congressional District.
