KALAMAZOO, MI -- Kalamazoo City Manager Jim Ritsema on Monday will ask the Kalamazoo City Commission to authorize the creation of a task force to examine the city's legacy costs. Ritsema's task force would include staff and community stakeholders to "research, study and explore options that contain the city's long-term financial liability for providing health care to its retirees," Ritsema wrote to city commissioners in a staff memo.
