Michigan Congressional Democrats Want Federal Government to Recognize Same-Sex Marriages

LANSING, MI -- Michigan won't recognize some 300 same-sex marriages performed this weekend, but Congressional Democrats are calling on the federal government to do so. U.S. Sens. Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow, along with Reps. John Dingell, Sander Levin, Gary Peters and Dan Kildee made the request Thursday.
