Michigan high school graduation rates rise

Michigan's statewide four-year high-school graduation rate increased nearly 2 percent last year to 76.24 percent, according to data released today by the Michigan Center for Educational Performance and Information. More than 53 percent of Michigan's school districts saw higher graduation rates, CEPI officials said, including Detroit Public Schools which boosted its rate by 5 percent, from 59.7 percent to 64.7 percent.
