LANSING - Hiking the state's minimum wage from $7.40 per hour to $9.20 by 2017 will get a hearing today in the House Government Operations Committee. The Senate passed the bill last week with a bi-partisan majority, hiking the wages for traditional hourly workers to $9.20 and up to $3.50 per hour for tipped employees, like waitresses and bartenders.
