LANSING, MI -- Michigan tax collections stagnated this year even as the economy grew, according to new projections, leading the state to slash revenue estimates by significant margins as lawmakers work to finalize 2015 budgets by early June. The non-partisan House and Senate fiscal agencies, along with the Snyder administration, met Thursday and reduced current-year revenue estimates by $317 million.
