ST. JOSEPH - As funding dries up for beach water testing, St. Joseph officials are considering paying for their own monitoring at Lions and Tiscornia beaches. City Manager Richard Lewis reported to commissioners Tuesday that the Berrien County Health Department will not have the money this year to test for bacteria, mostly E.coli, at the two beaches maintained by the city.
