LANSING, MI - Legalizing gay marriage in Michigan would pump $53.2 million to the state's economy over three years, according to a new study from the Williams Institute at the UCLA School of Law. Researchers, drawing on census data and experiences in other states, estimated that nearly 7,300 Michigan same-sex couples would choose to marry in the first three years if the state's ban was lifted.
