Bernadette Johnson wanted assurances that her eighth-grade son would know exactly what to do if a shooter walked into Lakeview Middle School while he was in the cafeteria. Such was the conversation at a public forum Monday night at Lakeview High School, where about 30 people heard Lakeview School District officials lay out the district's short- and long-term plans for improving school safety.
