Senate adjourns without vote on Medicaid

A plan to expand Medicaid coverage in Michigan remains stalled -- and could be on life support -- in the state Legislature as a summer break approaches. The Republican-led state Senate adjourned for summer break Thursday without voting on the proposal, potentially crippling a plan that eventually might have expanded the government health insurance program to an estimated 470,000 additional state residents.
