KALAMAZOO, MI -- The young snowy owl that was rescued from a Kalamazoo field last week, too weak to fly, has died of starvation complicated by anemia, said the wildlife rehabilitator working with the bird. Sharron Butler, a licensed wildlife rehabilitator in Vicksburg who specializes in raptors, tube-fed the bird a special diet of easily digested food for days.
