Snyder Declares Disaster Area In Flooded Southeast Michigan Counties

Governor Rick Snyder declared a flood disaster in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties
Both the Michigan State Police and the Michigan Department of Transportation are advising motorists to expect longer commutes Wednesday due to flooded surface streets and freeways. MDOT crews have been working nonstop to pump water from flood zones but some still remain closed due to the duration and intensity of the thunderstorms that rocked the metro area on Monday.
