Some cancelled Michigan health insurance may be reinstated

Many insurance companies cancelled policies that didn't meet new federal standards well before the January deadline, angering consumers and revving up criticism of the Affordable Care Act.
The head of Michigan's insurance department today said she will allow the state's insurers to reinstate canceled health care policies, essentially pushing forward President Barack Obama's peace offering to angry Americans who had been told they were losing coverage because of the Affordable Care Act. Insurers now must decide whether to take up the offer.
