State Senate committee looks into alleged "right to work" violations

LANSING -- Teachers alleging the Michigan Education Association violated the state's right-to-work law by refusing to allow them to leave the union told their story to a new Senate panel Wednesday. The Senate Compliance and Accountability Committee, created last week, heard testimony from several of the plaintiffs in a suit filed by the Mackinac Center for Public Policy against the state's largest teachers' union.
