KALAMAZOO, MI - I-94 in Kalamazoo County would become Officer Eric Zapata Memorial Highway under a bill now in the Michigan Legislature. The Senate Transportation Committee on Tuesday heard testimony on a bill to name I-94 through Kalamazoo County for Zapata, a Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officer who was killed in the line of duty in April 2011.
