Stryker profits drop 13% due to product recalls

Some analysts were expecting Stryker to report earnings of $1.01 per share, up 2 percent from a year ago, according to Thomas Reuters. The earnings report includes a $40 million charge from the voluntary recall of the Rejuvenate and ABG II modular-neck hip stems, bringing total charges for this recall to $230 million.
