Study Finds One in Four Michigan Bridges Need Repair

GRAND RAPIDS, MI - Millions of motorists traverse at least one of Michigan's 11,000 bridges each day, likely without thinking of those spans' condition. An analysis recently published by the Michigan Infrastructure and Transportation Association, or MITA, found about one in four bridges are considered either structurally deficient or functionally obsolete, making them in need of attention before their condition worsens.
