U.S. Supreme Court decision on Voting Rights Act has implications for Allegan County

ALLEGAN COUNTY, MI - A West Michigan township might be freed from certain obligations under the federal Voting Rights Act of 1965 after the Supreme Court on Tuesday struck down a key part of the law. Allegan County's Clyde Township, just south of Fennville, is one of only two Michigan townships bound by the landmark VRA to clear any election changes through federal authorities.
