Earlene McMichael / WMUK

Today we bring you an extended version of our recent interview with Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kalamazoo Executive Director Robert Ezelle, who'll be honored on Saturday, Aug. 20 for his three decades at the helm. Air times are 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on our award-winning WestSouthwest public affairs show. Ezelle, 68, is one of Kalamazoo County's longest serving nonprofit executives. He retires in December. (This show first aired on July 21, 2016.)

The Western Michigan University alum started at the Boys & Girls Club as a part-time game room and program director in the early ‘70s, within two years becoming associate director. In 1986, he assumed the directorship.
